To address the global climate change crisis there is a need to save energy and make homes of the future Smart and Sustainable. Drayton by Schneider Electric, an associated brand of Schneider Electric, has partnered with Panasonic to replace traditional gas boilers and offer room-by-room heating control system through its Wiser range of energy management solutions, seamlessly integrated with Panasonic Aquarea Air Source Heat Pumps and the Aquarea Smart Cloud and Service Cloud app. Schneider Electric is bringing sustainable and energy efficient solutions for residential heat pumps to Europe. This integrated offer will be first piloted in the United Kingdom. Heating the home can be a large energy load, particularly during winter or for older, poorly insulated European homes. Set in the context of the rising energy bills and predicted energy caps across the region later this year, the persistent worry for homeowners of the cost of heating and associated rise of energy bills continues. Heating rooms individually is a much more efficient way of making sure only the rooms in use are at a comfortable temperature.

Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, today announced the launch of Cybersecurity Solutions for Buildings, a solution that helps all buildings customers secure their building management systems (BMS) to protect their people, assets and operations. The joint solution with Claroty, the security company for cyber-physical systems across industrial, healthcare, and commercial environments, will combine award-winning technology with Schneider Electric industry expertise and services to identify all facility-wide assets, deliver unmatched risk and vulnerability management capabilities, and provide continuous threat monitoring to protect enterprise investments. Fifty percent of today’s buildings are likely to be still in use by 2050. This is driving commercial buildings to digitize their assets, including modernizing their building management system. In fact, IoT technology for buildings is expected to grow from an existing 1.7 billion connected devices at the end of 2020 to over 3 billion by 2025. As these commercial buildings evolve into smart buildings of the future, they share at least one common trait: heightened exposure to risks. The sector must address the security challenges presented by smart buildings. Studies have shown that 57% of IoT devices are vulnerable to medium or high-severity attacks[1]. Cyberattacks have already harmed several businesses, including critical infrastructure such as hospitals, data centers, and hotels. The commercial building sector must find ways to safeguard both its access to the company’s IT systems as well as its mission-critical infrastructure.

Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, today announced it is driving “Partnering for Sustainability Initiative” by empowering partners to look towards supporting and growing with Schneider Electric’s partner ecosystem. Recognizing the critical role its partners play in delivering a more resilient, sustainable electric world, the new program is designed to better equip partners to understand and meet the goals of their customers. It includes comprehensive education and training, a simplified product portfolio, an open and collaborative support ecosystem and digital knowledge and expertise. Complementing this vision are new products in its TansferPacT, PowerPacT and TeSys Giga ranges. Recent research from IDC revealed that only 7 percent of companies are delivering on their sustainability plans, and over 40 percent of customers look to their partners for strategic support to achieve their environmental goals[1]. There is a clear commercial opportunity for partners to grow their businesses with sustainable, resilient solutions and help accelerate and scale the path to net zero in the process.
